Step 2 · Cleanse
Le Shampoing Réparateur
Massage it in section by section on wet hair, then rinse. Sulfate-free, it foams little: that is normal.
We’re coming to you soon! Les Ateliers Crépus will be available in the United States very soon.
We guide you step by step through our signature routine for coily, curly and afro hair: 6 gestures, 3 products and results within 10 days.
Step by step · 6 steps
Each step has its own technique and its own product. Follow them in order, every 7 to 10 days: it is this sequence that keeps hair moisturised from one wash to the next.
On dry hair · With your fingers
Inspired by a technique passed on by a Chadian woman met in Senegal.
On dry hair, divide the hair into 6 to 8 sections. Smooth each strand from root to ends with the flat of your thumb, then form loose twists: the fibre is ready to receive the treatment, without breakage.
Cleansing
Purify coily hair while preserving its moisture.
Apply Le Shampoing Réparateur section by section, focusing on the scalp. Work it down the lengths, then rinse while squeezing the twists.
Deep treatment
Deeply nourish and lastingly soften the fibre.
On towel-dried hair, apply Le Masque Réparateur, starting with the ends. Massage each strand to help the treatment penetrate and leave on for about 10 minutes.
Horn comb
Inspired by the techniques passed down by Man Dol’.
While the mask is on, detangle with the natural horn Peigne de Man Dol’. Start at the ends, work your way up gradually without ever forcing, then rinse carefully.
Controlled heat
Preserve softness, suppleness and moisture while drying.
Apply La Crème Coiffante, then dry in 4 to 6 cm sections, focusing on the roots to soften the fibre. You can also let your hair air-dry.
Final step
Deeply moisturise, then lock that moisture in.
Apply La Crème Coiffante generously all over the hair, detangle and make a braid. Leave for anywhere from 10 minutes to overnight, then style as you wish.

See all six steps in motion, from dry detangling to sealing.
The Rituel Texture® set brings together three 250 mL Cocoa & Hibiscus products: Le Shampoing Réparateur, Le Masque Réparateur and La Crème Coiffante, about three months of routine. The Rituel Texture® et son Peigne set contains the same three products, plus the buffalo horn Peigne de Man Dol’.
Here is the role of each one, and the precise moment it comes into the routine.
Step 2 · Cleanse
Massage it in section by section on wet hair, then rinse. Sulfate-free, it foams little: that is normal.
Step 3 · Nourish
On towel-dried hair, start at the ends and massage each strand. Leave on for 10 minutes.
Step 4 · Detangle
While Le Masque is on, detangle from the ends towards the roots, without forcing. Horn glides through without breaking the hair.
Steps 5 and 6 · Dry and seal
Apply it to damp hair before drying, then a second time to seal. Braid and leave for up to a night.
